Pre-Construction Home Buying Question
I live in FL, Tampa/St. Pete area and have just purchased myself a new town home. Ive been doing some research and apparently town homes in FL are going to be the next big thing.
I plan on living in the one I just bought for a couple years and then upgrading through pre a constructed home, repeating this cycle and Buying a bigger more luxurious home each time. Kind of how a hermit carb goes from shell to shell getting a bigger shell each time it grows.
How would I go about finding out, where these homes are going to be built before ground is broken or even project as far as a couple years down the road(if possible)? is there any good books on buying pre constructed homes. Thank you for all you insight.

You can identify future new construction projects by going to the towns and municipalities and asking to see the list of properties that are going through the municipal subdivision approval process. This is public info. Look at the municipalities' files on these projects. The file will tell you the approval status and give you contact info.
A good realtor should be able to help you.
Another contact you may want to talk with is GFous, on this site. He is in Ft. Myers and does a lot of pre-construction sales with condos.
