Postal Services bulk mailing Q.
If you wanted to send, say...500-1000 letters a month to potentially motivated sellers via the Postal Service without using 1st class stamps, what's the procedure?
Is it possible to obtain an account that will send bulk mailings for such a small order? I know I could inquire with the P.O but I thought this might be an interesting Q to post here for others.

I use the service for postcards and from what I can see they will send out any number you want. No limits. Pretty good deal for the $ and time.
Go to the USPS website, they have all the answers.
The answer is you can send as many postcards via the USPS site without stamping a single one. Do I recommend using it? No and you can read why on the other site.
About letters, I imagine you can but havent looked into doing such. The appeal of sending letters on your own is that you address the letters and it looks less like a bulk mail..
Speaking of postcards, does anyone know of a company that sells them at a cheap rate?

OK, what other site? I don't mean to sound rude but why not just state it here for all as to why not to use this service? I am sure many here don't know about this other site and maybe it is not a available site to all.
I dont like to post things that are available to the member only people who have paid for the privilage of sharing information with others who have done the same.
It is a balance that is precarious and if you are a member of the other site, I would rather steer you there than repost it here.
My personal preference is that the USPS postcards are cheap..the stock is cheap, there are markings all over the cards and the restrictions of using it are MORE than the value you save if you did use them.
I have sent probably 2500 or so through there, I didnt like what I saw and now I do it myself..that is about what I said over there..
Didnt mean to offend, it is also that some people who are members there dont search the archives and ask the same questions repeatedly..

No problem. I tried the USPS site for the first time this week just to see what the product looks like. I was an unhappy as to the fact that you get either 2 colors, black and whatever you choose, or full color at a nice price along with it.
I will compare it to what I have been producing on my own and if they are not to my standard I won't use again.
I hear what you are saying about giving out information but if you just say something like the quality is bad then we will know. We are all here to make a $ or two and learn.
Just received a postcard that I sent out using the USPS site and the card looked exactly like the ones I was sending out. I am very pleased with the money I spent on this. I sent the cards to the post office Friday afternoon with a Saturday send out and I just got it today. Not bad I must say. Very pleased.

Thanks for all the help, I think I'm going to give the P.O. a try along with some other methods, I'll do some testing to see what results I get. Just looking for something different that'll get noticed.
