PO Boxes

Hi all,
I'm a newbie to landlording and am looking to rent a po box. It will be my first 2 or 3 fam. Is it too soon? Should I wait until I have more units? I went to the usps site and they have different sizes and fee groups. Anyone use the usps?
If so, which fee group is for a small business?

Thanks
-Ariel

i have one. something like 30 bucks for 6 months or so. just go to the post office and they will give you the break down. I think it's good to have one right away, especially if you start a corp. You want to be able to separate yourself from the corp and when you put an address down for the corp, you can use the PO Box.

    Hi yehoshua30,

Unless you want your tenants showing up at your doorsteps any time, go ahead and get one now.

The tenants will send their rent checks, and repair request to anywhere that you instruct them to. for $50-$100 bucks per year, you will find this to be a blessing!

    Best of Success!

An alternative to a PO Box is a company which deducts funds from your tenants account checking account and deposits the funds directly into your checking account.
