Plumbing Question !
Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding a bathroom sink faucet....., when the water is turned on, especially when you turn it to hot, the faucet starts to make a clanking sound and shakes everything connecting it.
I am guessing that it might be a water pressure problem but not absolutely sure, if it is, what is the solution ?
Thanks.
Google "water hammer arrestor" and read up on them.
Also try the following:
Turn off the water supply to the house. Partially open a faucet or two on the upper floor or at the end of the water supply distribution. Slowly open the main water supply to the house. Now open those one or two faucets completly. You may hear some water hammer again, then an even flow of water. This lets the air out of the system. Try it 2x if needed.
I learned something new today!
Generally the hammer is not from lack of water pressure as I have had several houses with incredible pressure have this problem.

I was always under the impression it was more likely to happen because of abnormally high water pressure.
I really feel sorry for you rehabinator....but, good luck in whatever you do and i hope you always continue to be right and never wrong.
