Please Tell Me How To Save This Deal
I just made a cash offer on a fixer. It was a low offer because the house needed quite a few repairs. Too low, I guess, because the seller didn't come back with any sort of counter-offer. I am working with a good Realtor who's on my side, but chances are the other listing Realtor might have harmed this deal.
Please tell me, after the seller didn't come back with any sort of counter, am I dead in the water? What can I do now?
My Realtor is urging me to do another offer. I don't feel I'd be harmed by offering a bit more, but don't know how to do it from this point without looking ridiculous.
Please advise.
You might think your realtor is doing a good job, but I'd strongly disagree. TO start with, i normally don;t use buying agents, but you already have one, so why is it that you are doing their job?
Tell your realtor to find out exactly what the outcome was of the offer your made and what the seller is hoping to accomplish. If they can;t do their job, fire them and call the listing agent directly.

Could have been the seller. I've recieved offers when listing a house that the seller did not wish to counter, reject, or reply to at all. Get your agent to bug the $#!% out of the listing agent. You'll at least find out somthing. If not, move on to the next deal.
do not make an other offer until he replies. i agree with the others about the agent, they are not doing there job. for them to ask you to make another offer before you have the results from the last offer is "wrong". get the agent on the ball or get another.....kenmax
