Penny Stocks- Worth It-OR-Not
Has anyone tried to invest in Penny stocks. I am looking at a few right now and they seem promising but I have never bought stock before. I know I don't want to invest in large cap because I don't have a lot of money. With Penny stocks I can buy a lot of shares and maybe make a good return without risking too much money.
Hi my name is penny stocks...invest with me.... Real Estate is the return of the future......
No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No!
Look up "Stratton Oakmont" or "Blinder Robbins" on Google.
Other than real estate, my other method of investing is mechanical investing. One rule of thumb to live by is never buy a stock that is under $15 bucks. If it is less than that, the company isn't worth investing in.
penny stocks very rarealy are worth it. I can say ive wasted 100's on them .. waste of time money and hope

I am interested in both. I want to rehab properties and fool with the stock market. I am always open to new investing ideas but real estate is very hard to really get into. I have been looking for anyone who can finance me but with no prevail. My credit by definition blows and no investor will take a risk and lend me the money to buy my first project. I have found a hundred houses, I have noone to flip to, noone to bird dog for. I know WA WA WA but that is the situation I am in so I am exploring other avenues of approach in order to raise capital. Thanks for the waste,
Jim
by the way that last post was for dave thanks for all the real fed back everyone.
If you're intrested in stocks, read "The Intelligent Investor" by Benjamin Graham. It has just come out in a new edition. If you follow what it says in a disciplined manner, you'll be doing things the way Warren Buffett does them.
Well, you're looking in the wrong places and with the wrong people.... although there is money out there you dont need money or credit to invest in real estate...
investors do not look at credit they look at the deal at hand...the property.....

killenjw,
perhaps you should look into tax deeds or tax lien certificates. I've heard enough to know they are not the end all be all if investing, and simple like Ted Thomas makes it out, but you might try the forum here on this site.
Perhaps you can see if there is a lease option market in your area. Best of luck, keep open, there are avenues in real estate for you.
