Let me clarify my question. Let's say I approach a motivated seller and meet with him/her. Let's say I want to get their permission to talk to the lender about their foreclosure situation. What does the authorization form have to look like?
If the meeting goes really well, and the seller wants to deed the property over to me what, as far as paperwork is required to ensure that we have a deal? What do the gurus out there typically do as next steps in this type of a situation? Thanks in advance!
I have gotten into the habit of having the home owner hand write "I Joe Smith give Brenda Grossinckle authorization to discuss my loan" and have them date, sign and fax. This way I can get it Faxed to the lender now. Of course I still need the loan number and lender name.
