Paper Work In NY
What contracts or paper work does investors use in NYC? I tried calling one attorny and asking what paper work do I need to sell a house in nyc. There responce is you need an attorny to do the paper work. You dont need an RE agent but you need an attorny to close.
Well another attorny told me that I am taking money out of his mouth.
I asked him if by law do I need an attorny if I am giving owner financing to my buyer. He stated that a bank require that both sides be represented by an attorny.
But so far no info. :-(
It's the lender that requires you to have an atty at the closing. Assuming since you posted on the sub2 forum you are doing sub2s: In sub2 investing there is no new loan--no lender--therefore no atty required. Although many would recommend using one for the first one or two.
Of course, you should double-check this with a trusted atty in NY.
