Painting Aluminum Siding
The aluminum siding is fairly new (10-15 years), but it is missing several sections on the back (maybe $300-400 worth). It is an unattractive olive green and I thought instead of doing a tear off and replacing it with vinyl that I would save a few thousand (the house is around 75k-80k AMV with a purchase price of 52k, only needs 8k-10k in repairs and sprucing up.......long story, but the gal needs out and is very anxious; bonus is that it has a brand new C/A, furnace and water heater, woo hoo! I can hear my wallet staying closed 
) Wow, talk about veering off the road.....anyway, this seems like a viable option, has anyone else had good or bad experiences with painting alum. siding? Thanks.
I thought the idea of siding was saving from having to paint soooooooooo if you paint it would you not have the problem of "repeat performance??????
I would worry more of what is under the siding than the color.
If I were keeping this property as a rental, then definitely; but this is a flip property, just an 8k-10k 2 month flip; so if the paint lasts for 4-5 years and looks good it could just be treated like wood siding (which is under the aluminum) and be painted whenever they like.

I just finished painting the very roughed up aluminum siding on my first rehab. I am VERY happy with the outcome. I had it primed and painted with duron weathershield paint with good results.
