Paid In Full Or $0 Balance

I have pretty good credit , I've had plenty of different types of credit over the past 8 yrs , I have 4 mortgages , I have 4 credit cards with an avail of 35 k , and i keep a 3k balance.... I have about 3 store cards , PC richards, Sleepys , and a citi retail card, The reason i have these were to take advantage of the retailers no ineterest and no payments for the first yr ..... all of these are now paid up and show a 0 balance on my credit reports.... I have 4 other credit cards that are closed , I closed them bec i liked the other better, on the credit report it says " account closed at consumers request" ......... should i try to remove these from my report? ... should i also try to remove the paid in full retal charge cards ... Please let me kow

    None of those are negatives and they add history. Ideally you shouldn't have closed any of them, just stopped using them. Unless they had annual fees.

    If you closed them within the last 6 months or so, check with each issuer to see what their policy is on reopening them. If they can do so without a hard pull, have them do it.

    Closing older accounts you no longer want is generally a bad idea. Sometimes it makes sense to close newer accounts to try to drive up your average age of accounts to improve FICO score. But longstanding accounts are usually golden, and sometimes golden even if they've been a bit derog in the past.
