One Side Of Duplex As A Business.
I am considering using one side of a duplex, in which is my primary residence, as a home business office.
So, I will be living in one side, and working in the other.
I am wondering what the tax implications would be...The business is an LLC.
1. Can I deduct the rent and utilities for the business side as a business expense?
If so, how much?
2. What are the general beneifits and what are the downsides to this type of arrangement?
3. Anyone else out there doing this?
