"Luck, is when preparation meets opportunity."
    ???????????????????????????????
Is luck the product of preparation meeting opportunity? or if opportunity meets preparation one is lucky

I always thought it was : "SUCCESS is when opportunity meets prepairdness"

I run ads in the newspapers for deals all the time and have come across some VERY good ones.

Come up with a creative way to say "We buy Houses" that is over used.

    Birddog1,

Newspaper Ads do work. If you see other investors with long term ads, they pay for those for a reason...they work! Consistency is the key and long term advertising. Don't do it for a month and quit, it takes time.

Bandit Signs work great too. Lots of calls if you don't mind the city/citizen harassment calls and the littering of your community!

They do work! If you run the classified ad all year at a total cost of $1500, even if you just get one successful transaction off of this the whole year, you can profit tens of thousands of dollars.

Are you willing to invest now for future returns?

I wish I could get yearly classified advertising that cheap. Are you hitting major newspapers or the cheap ones?

How is the response with using PennySaver ads?

It appears to me that it must be pretty good in my area as there are about 10 ads in the penny saver and only 2-4 in the local newspapers.

I agree $1500 is pretty cheap....actually it is about what it would cost for year long ad in the pennysaver. Newspaper ads are running about $300-$400 per month in my area (and that's not even the LA Times)
