Newbie With First Deal Looking For More...
Hello all,
My wife and I last year moved from MA to FL with the idea to start investing in real estate. After we closed on our house, we put down a deposit on another for which we have rec'd 100% financing. We are set to close on this next week. The builder is selling the same house for $110k more today than we are paying. Additionally, there are two more for sale in the neighborhood at the same price, so we are excited.
Having said that, we are interested in making some more deals in either residential new construction or flips, but are looking for some training/mentoring that is worth our time and money. We have seen the infomercials and have attended seminars given by the gurus, but have managed to take only information and leave all credit cards in our wallets. We are looking for some guidance here.
We would appreciate any info that anyone would care to provide on where to get valuable training, is there any good reading out there and is it worth it to seek out and join an investors group in our area?

Yes, it is worth joining an investor club, and yes, there are good books out there. Hit the library and read everyone you can get your hands on, if yuo get one of two ideas out of a book it was worth the time invested in reading it
