Newbie Wants To Rent His Townhome
Greetings. My wife and I just moved into our new townhome and decided we want something different and want to rent it. Where can I find the info on paperwork/tax/legal stuff I need to get this townhome rented and be sure I am on the up and up with everything.

Landlording can be very challenging. You may want to go to your local library and get some books on landlording.
Additionally, you may want to interview some property managers. It may be less headache for you to utilize theri services.
When I looked at rent my home in LA after moving to the bay area, the 6-8% for PM fees I felt was well worth it.
You prob. should talk to a CPA / atty to see if they feel there is anything special from the tax/legal/liability POV.
