Newbie Needs Advice

Okay, I want to start buying real estate, perhaps a small apartment complex as soon as the housing bubble burst. And so, I need to learn about the process. If anyone can give me some great advice, let me know. I currently have 15,000 in stocks, but other than that, I have nothing for a down payment.

    1. Learn how to buy and sell houses with no money/credit. Learn that and you can do the same things to apartment buildings.

    2. Read "the complete guide to buying and selling apartment buildings" and "getting started in real estate investing"

    3. read any good book you find in an area that interests you

    4. Find a local RE group and join. Make one if you don't have one.

    5. Start learning your market. Look at properties and figure out if it's a good deal, FMV deal, or no deal at all. Look at 100-200 and you'll know your market well.

    6. Learn how to crunch numbers for commercial properties.
