New Forum...
Thanks for this new and great forum. I see all the other forums have moderators - do you need one for this forum. If so I would like to help out if I could. This subject is very dear to me since one - AS a mortgage broker I have only had like one client with good credit so credit repair has become my thing, and two I now live in one half of a duplex while remodeling it all we have is a futon matress on the floor, two garbage bags of clothes and some frozen pizza. So living below your means is also of interest to me. I feel these are important in getting a good start.
Just let me know if you need help.
And great job on this site!

Am new to this site and "forums" - have a partner with whom I am actively investing - on his credit. Went through a divorce and chapter 7 2+ years ago and would love to clear my credit. Have a credit card with $9000 limit that shows good credit history and not included in chapter 7. Was told I could go to the 3 credit bureaus online and dispute but found it possible only on Equifax - the other two are supposed to mail me something - but that was three weeks ago. Any suggestions?
first thing is that if you have disputed anything, you have to just wait. They are only required to finish a dipuste within 30 days of recieving it. With mail to and from - you have a couple more weeks to wait.
I would like to bring up an important aspect to this whole subject...and that is Asset Protection.
While you are repairing your credit, paying off debts and living below your means...you soon will be aquiring assets such as a car, homes ect...with equity.
I have a personal story to share, in the hopes that it can help others here.
A year ago...I totally repaired my credit, paid off all debts except my mortgage, and was living below my means to "get ahead". I paid off a brand new car in full.
Within a month, the sherriff came to my door and siezed my car and slapped a lien on my house! This was from a Dr's bill 13 years ago...that my X husband was suppose to pay but my SS number and name was on the document and I OWNED ASSETS, he didn't, so they came after me.
This could happen to anyone!!! I did not expect this...it came out of no where.
Needless to say, I have now helped many other people by educated them to how the system works.
I am interested as to how other people have cleared thier credit and also protected thier assets through trusts, Neveda Corps. ect...
One thing is for sure and soon as you start owning ASSETS...you are opening yourself up.
Thanks!

THat is interesting - after 13 years it did not some how exceed that time that they had to lawfuly collect or something? That just does not sound right.
Hi there, I'm new to the site, and the forums, i've been reading a few days, and have ordered the bird-dogging ebook. So far that sounds like the direction for me. But this subject caught my eye also. Long story short...i've been out of steady work for 2 years, before that I had decent credit. Since then, i've lost my house (foreclosed), had my vehicle re-possed, and owe 2 credit card companies money. I haven't been contacted by anyone, but was un-reachable for a long time due to no home. Now, i'm getting back on my feet. Have had a consistant job now for 6 mos., and want to "right" my wrongs...I need the first step. Any help would be great.
Thanks.
Hi Drifter...
Yes, it doesn't sound right. The point is, I had an agreement w/ my x and he was to pay a $1,100 bill and he owns nothing. There was a judgement and they CAN and DID come after me. Anyway...it's over.
I don't bring this up to complain...it's just an expensive lesson and I don't want others to go thru it.
