New Anti-Flipping Laws...Whats The Deal??

Should investors be concerned with the new anti-flip laws or are the laws referring to only "predatory flipping" of the illegal nature? Is it going to make it harder to use this technique out in the real world for the legitimate and law minded investor?

Thanks in advance!!

Could one also explain what the anti-flipping laws are? Never heard of such laws.

As long as you use it legitimately, you won't have a problem. So far, only HUD has regulations in place regarding flipping and FHA loans. Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae don't have any laws against it, as far as I know.

ok...So do you think that flipping will eventually become illegal all across the board? Should a newbie in this business even consider learning this technique or should they not even waste their time?

    Thanks again

First, flipping properties isn't illegal. Lenders are going in the direction that they pefer a chain of title (preferably 1 year) before a one can get a loan. A good mortgage broker can still get a loan. There are plenty of banks out there that do not have such restrictions.
