Networking W/ Attorneys For Leads?
I am looking for additional ways to generate leads for pre-foreclosed properties. One of my strenghts is networking and building relationships very quickly.
I am wondering if it makes sense to build relationships with the attorneys that handle the pre-foreclosed properties. And if so, what is the value add that I can provide to them so that they will want to feed me leads.
Thank you very much.

While it could sure pay you to build relatioships with lawyers, any lawyer involved in a foreclosure, who is also the trustee in that foreclosure, CANNOT legally or ethically give anybody any info on it, except the bare-bones info on when & where the sale is, the name & # of the beneficiary/payee, balance due, etc.
He/she absolutely cannot give anybody any info that might favor them personally...the word "trustee" here really carries a world of fiduciary responsibility, and the trustee is walking a very fine line in his responsibilities to the lender, the buyer who's being foreclosed, etc.
A recent State of WA Supreme Court decision really nailed and blasted a trustee & his realtor partner who were playing all kinds of games with RE being foreclosed, in order to try to capitalize, themselves, on these REOs.
Got it! Thanks for the information... So, does anyone have good ideas for what type of relationships (besides realtors) I could build to generate new leads for my business?
How about someone who works in the tax dept.?
Or even in the foreclosure dept in a bank?

You don't need the lawyers to give you a person's info. You need him to present YOU as an option to his clients. This way they'll call you. The lawyer will probably want compensation and I do not know if this legal in every state. I believe this could be a strong lead source if approached correctly.
Looks like there is differing opinions on whether it is possible to work with attorneys for leads. Anyone else have an opinion on this subject.
I like the bank idea. What is the title of the person to build a relationship with at the bank. Is it loss mitigation or someone else?
Thanks!
