Why are you using a trustee other then yourself?
Who or what is the beneficiary in the example you are presenting?
A trust is mostly about hiding the owner and disassociating your name from the ownership of the property.
Liability protection is not really a benefit of a land trust. Hence the logic for people using a corporation of some sort for liability protection.

PS. My trust was set up by an attorney. Make sure you have your trust correctly set up for the state you live in.
