Need Info On An Infomercial I Saw

Hi...I saw an infomercial on buying real estate by paying off the tax lein. And it stated that you could own the property with no mortgage payment at all. Just by paying off the back taxes. I am new here and don't want to post something I should not. Has anyone had any dealing with John Beck? confused

Hi Gina I have purchased John Beck I think he is worth it. It all depends on what state you are in on how you invest in Tax sales, it is possible though.

Hi Dave thanks for the input on John Beck. BTW I am from Florida. I am very interested in buying his course. However, I am wondering about this No Mortgage part. How do you do that? Would these only be properties that are payed off with no mortgages, but owing back taxes? The examples he gives are a bit hard to believe and I am of the old school of "If it sounds to good to be true...I am trying to gather as much info as I can before investing the money into it. I am not the type to be frivalous with money so I investigate before I invest. I am a bit of a skeptic, but I do have a dream! Thanks for any help you can give. I mean't to post this in the newbies forum, ooops my mistake.

Gina I agree with the other post, it depends what state you are in and what the laws are. To find this out you should go to the county courthouse and ask some questions.

In Oregon it doesn't work, however inUtah a friend of mine lost his property to a tenant because the tenant paid the property taxes for 5-6 years in his own name.
