Need Help
Good Morning.
I have a situation that I need help with. My wife and I own a house that we are currently trying to sell. We had a young lady call us yesterday, (sunday), and was wondering if we would consider a land contract or rent to own. My wife and I would consider this route, as we want to discontinue normal renting of the property. My question is, we have never done a land contract or a rent to own, how would we go about setting this up, so that we can help this lady and her family out and get them into this house.
Sorry for be so long, just wanted to make sure I explained the situation fully.

Hi,
it sounds like you need some legal advice as far as what should be written up in your contract with the buyer. I think you would have your interests and the buyers protected best by consulting with a real estate lawyer. Or if thier fees are too much, consider a fill in the blanks contract that the lawyers in your area use often.

Call your local title company most of the large ones do not do land contracts... the smaller ones seem to.
