NEED HELP W/ LAND NOTE

Maybe someone can help .

Well back FEB2001 i went in contract for a house. The man had 3 homes he was www.selling.Man offered home to me for pay off and take over payments. Well he ask $5000.00 dn and pay back payments www.up.The house at time was apraised 20,000 over what was owed on it. OWED ON HOME WAS 55,000. It was a great deal. So i knEw i had to go in and remodel it because the renters he had in it messed it up . So i did. I added 2 more bedrooms and bath and made liveing room bigger. Now its a 6 bed , 3th www.home.I put swimming pool in back yard. Now home apraises at least 100,000+. We had a purchase contract for 55,000 at 8.5% 426.00 a mth. n/p .We registered it court house. I have been paying on home since feb 1,2001 . Never been late one time . I had my payment drafted straight out off bank account so i can prove. Well a mth ago the man desides to go file a chapter 7, ya a 7. So my home he claims is not in it. But i know for fact the other 2 are in it. Rite now im looking for someone to buy home and owner finace it to www.me.They can make some money. My loss will be my home. I have a wife and 3 kids. We have sunk all my saveings in this home. We have spent in remodeling over 20,000.00 out of pocket. please may be some one can www.help.I see this site is for investers may be you can help. please email me .     wade,

    your post isn't really that clear, but if you have a land contract/contract for deed, then you should still have a house, especially if you recorded that contract at the courthouse.

    The first thing that you need to do is find out about the title. Hire an attorney to do a title search on the property, or if you know the basics, go do it yourself.

    The second thing that you need to do is GET THAT TITLE FAST. Visit a mortgage broker/banker and refiance.
