need help fast!!!!!

Long story short. Our home is in foreclosure with foreclosure date set for may 30th. We paid $2000 at end of april to get an extension from april 20. We have had the house on the market since march. the first deal fell through on the 11th of april. the latest purchase and sale aggreement was signed on april 23. with the closing scheduled for 6 hours before the auction time. the buyers hav still not received the final ok to close. We were told this at 7pm on the 27th by our agent. we found out today the the lending company told our agent on the 16th of may that they would not be able to close on the 30th. We are trying to get in touch with the mortgage holder to see if they will give us another extension we have 1 day to find another option. a real estate attorney already told us that the 11,000 desposit will be ours due to various missed deadlines. Our real estate agent is a liar and very unprofessional. What other options do we have on stopping the sale for the 30th. We don't know if citimortgage will give us another extension. any advise would be greatly appreciated.

    Have you considered working out a repayment plan with the bank for purposes of keeping the property? Would they be amenable to allowing you to pay, the amount of interest due per diem until such time as the property is sold. Have you considered the possibility of a short sale? What state is the property located in?
