I would recommend reading/studying. Learn the different strategies of real estate, as well as other investments. Go to your local REI clubs. Read through articles on this site.
BEWARE of self-proclaimed gurus that want to sell you their products, boot camps, etc.
In order to set yourself up for the millions, you first may want to learn some things. What you should do with 300k and what I would do with 300k are two different things since we are both two individuals with individual knowledge and skill.
One could make millions out of 3k, 30k, or your 300k... or one could lose 3k, 30k, your 300k... all dependent on what you know and what you are doing.
After you learn about investments ( I suggest learning everything possible ), you may find an area you like, are comfortable with, or that catches your attention. Then you could proceed with confidence and with minimal risk and build from there.
Before you spend a dime, go to the library and check out as many real estate investing books as you can. You also want to start talking with people that are successful in the business (or at least have been in the business for awhile). You can learn just as much from people that do things wrong as you can those that do it right and are successful. After your research you will come up with more detailed questions that the books may not answer, come back and ask them here.
I may as well throw in my endorsement of what everyone else said.
Get your education. Read, go to REIA meetings, etc. With regard to the gurus, 64Ford is right. Be careful. I have gotten a lot of good information from Dave Lindahl, Robyn Thompson, Wendy Patton, Vena Cox-Jones, and Jeffrey Taylor, but there are plenty of others who aren't worth a penny.
send me the money i show you how....... lol .......everybody has given you good advice. be careful! one word don't continue telling how much cash you have. keep his info to yourself. you will find more people "willing" to spend, show you how, take your money, steal your money than you can run away from........km
p.s. don't ask others how you should spend your money......grow into it......how to invest it with your own knowledge. no one will take care of your money like you......study, study, study.......you have a great start. good luck.......km
