Need Advice on PA Tax Deed Sales

I am a newbee to this business, however, I have considerable experience in other forms of investment.

Can anybody give me an advice on whether investing in Tax Lient Deeds is a good vehicle in PA? Dynamic - your assessment is always appreciated.

Thanks

That all depends on what you consider a good vehicle.
Every state and county is different and handle the sales and possible foreclosures differently. In Arizona you can buy them pretty cheap and receive up to a 16% return. However, it takes 3 years before you can foreclose. Also, when they are auctioned you are not bidding an amount - you are bidding on lower interest rates. In Ohio some counties no longer sell tax liens versus foreclosing on the properties and selling for 2/3 of appraised value. I am not completely familiar with PA laws. The best thing to do is call the Treasurer's Office in the counties in which you are interested in purchasing the certificates.
