I know i am more then likely not going to find any one who is doing them but thought this was the place to ask
And if someone says there is a may be then i think i should ask the question of what may the terms be with out some one getting nasty on the other side
Wow! Chris, what a nightmare! Really sorry to hear that. The most important thing is that you still have your health. Take care of yourself, limit your stress and have a lawyer take care of it.
Chris
Sorry to hear about your health problems. Kind of like mine. One week I am cutting hay, running up and down the fields and the next week I can’t even walk across the road. Went to get checked out and was scheduled for operation within two weeks. I have been up and at’em for over 10 year’s now so guess operation did do some good. Hope you have success with your recovery. Have really enjoyed all your post. You are one of those rear people who sincerely try to help others. Take care. I still want to stop by and visit when I get up to Ann Arbor.
Wow, sorry to hear about this budget mess. Its a good thing you purchased the insurance waivers, hopefully you placed his (your friends) name and licenses on the contract. If you are the only name on the contract, they will probably come after you.
Budget just hasnt closed the contract yet, after the damages are totalled, you should be in the clear, since u purchased insurance.
But im betting money the insurance doesnt pay for the damages and they claim you had an unauthorized driver. They will sum it up and turn it over to a collections agent who will try and turn u upside down for the next 2 yrs. I dont think they will walk away.
But it was a good start to cancel the credit card, they would have easily charged the card $2k and STILL tryed to collect damages. Hopefully the insurance covers your friends damages, and this whole thing is over. What a mess. Good luck
Hi, You also might try contacting Chris Elliott who acts as an Ombudsman at a major travel magazine. His email is **Please See My Profile** He seems to be able to help lots of people in sticky situations with travel companies. Good luck with a quick resolution of this situation.
I think you have to send 2 forms of ID, from their list of valid IDs. I sent a utility bill which was valid, but was too old as I scanned it in a couple years ago.
If you really have provided all the required info, you can sue the CRAs in small claim. Otherwise, you should ask the bank to update the CRAs.

Well here is my reasoning why they would want a faster payout:
The longer a person pays on a mortgage rather than paying it off, the more amount of money they actually made on a persons debt.
Even if the debt is at 8%. If I have a payoff after 5 years, they have already received the majority of their payments in interest. And if I pay it off after 5 years, it is just like a balloon payment. For them the yield is a lot higher than 8%.
Now of course their "asset" , the real estate, goes up in value, and their position gets better the longer I hold their asset, but I am just looking at it from a debt perspective.
Seem foolish that the only way to get a discount is to become delinquent in the mortgage.

Not any more.
not even it was 50% loan to value any more. From what I am seeing anyway.[ Edited by JasonFLAinvestor on Date 03/12/2009 ]
maybe some hard money at 65% LTV, 15% and 3 pts..
If this is true of may be hard money who would you look at to get this loan done ?
As well what do you think the terms would be ?
OKAY
No need to get nasty on things

I agree with the advise of "Hire a good attorney". They will try to bill you for the car until it is returned to service.
Your friend should have filed a police report when the car was stolen.

I have found you can only talk to a live person, AFTER you have filed the dispute and/or obtained a report number.
In all credit/dispute matter I use certified, return receipt. mail and I like http://uscertifiedletters.com for online sending.
Great, will do. Thanks again, CJMazur!
I had a similar problem recently.

The form on www.creditboards.com has some good tips.

forgiving debt? Huh. I forgot about that.
The note is with Bank of America.
...Or you can bring money to the table... and borrow at 80% LTV. Just another option.
can you make it an OO property and get a a 97% FHA loan?
