Mycastle Dot Com

I was wondering if anyone new of any other websites that allow investors to do all the searches that realtors can do using the mls. This one be great for me but it is specific to the dallas fortworth area and I am looking for something I can use in the houston area.

The best I have found is http://www.Har.com but its watered down for the general public still useful but not as useful as would be if I were a realtor.

You should post these and also look for what you want in the Web links section. They have state specific links there that may be of help.

the only reason I did post this was because my search on the internet has not turned up anything useful.

I have used google with several different word combinations.

I have found that www.realtor.com is great. It seems to be tied into the local mls databases for the area you are searching. The one thing I like about this site as opposed to other mls sites is you get the complete address. Hope this helps.

mrlee beat me to it so I have to second his pointer http://www.realtor.com. I like this site and it lets you put in the state so you are not limited to local searches.

www.har.com is alot like www.realtor.com except I think it is more useful to the houston metro area.

If I were a realtor I would be able to do more specific surches using har for houses that have sold or were currently active on the market or for specific words with in the mls listing but this isn't available to anyone else.

I noticed on www.mycastle.com this was availabe if you wanted to search dallas fortworth area.

I am currently working towards my realtors license so I can take advantage of the unfiltered mls but I am concerned the obligations that come with this may not be worth it. They may take away from my investor time that I need to find good deals and rehab.

Texas has some funny RE regs. And from talking to other Texas investors it is harder to find comps. That is why myCastle is so popular in the DFW area.

It is my understanding that they plan to expand so perhaps that will be in your area soon.

That would be great but hopefully another investor knows of another website that currrently services the houston area.[ Edited by demosthenes on Date 11/17/2003 ]
