Where Is The Best Area To Buy In San Antonio Right Now

I currenltly live in Md but i am thinking of moving to san Antonio. I own a 4 unit in d.c that has significantly gone up in value in just a year. I would like to invest in a couple of single family homes and apartment in a good location of san Antonio. I am really not too familiar with the market so any candid ideas and suggestions would be greatly appereciated. Pls feel free to email me.
Thanks

You can either do a broker search.

Western New York yields quite high areas such as Buffalo. But very low end properties in very dubious neighbourhoods.

I am not a expert on the NY RE area, but i have heard prices are quite high and yeilds very low. I have had a number of freinds look elsewhere, mainly into the FL and NV areas. Also have had several from CA looking here, although i have heard positives out of Utah and South Carolina. Without giving off a salesman vibe (i am an investor), have rally done well through this develper who started out in NY with the () and moved operatiosn south to FL with a much better return rate on appreciated land costs.

I have lived and worked in NY all of my life, and can tell you that you can get a LOT more house for the money than in most other areas in the US.

There are many good deals to be had, but you really need to know the neighborhood. One of my rental properties, a duplex in NY has NEVER had a vacancy, along with ALWAYS having many applicants anytime a renter left.

So, you can certainly create the return and cashflow you are looking for with careful buying and property management in NY. Can you be more specific about what you are looking for? SFR, Duplex, commercial, $100k or $1M+, long term hold, or quick turn?[ Edited by Toolkit on Date 05/11/2005 ]
