Moving Out The 15th- Half Months Rent?
One of my tenants just gave their one month notice of departure. They are on a month to month lease. They plan on moving October 15 and have requested that they should only have to pay half the months rent. My first question is:
1) Can I charge them for the full month of October even though they gave adequate notice and they are moving out the middle of the month?
2) If I do charge for a full month, am I allowed to go in after the 15th and make updates (paint, carpet, new stove & Fridge) so a new tenant can moving in Nov. 1st?
