Move An Old House To A New Lot

Does anybody have experience moving houses? I have an old house (1200 sqft) near downtown Orlando. I am putting townhouses on the lot. I think the numbers may work to move the old house to a new lot, fix it up a little bit, and then sell it (or rent it out). Any of you done such a thing?

when making an offer to a FSBO is it best to visit EVERY house and make an offer or to simply make an offer over the phone and see if they counter with something reasonable? Of course this is after asking the basic questions why are you selling, when would you like to close etc...

I would suggest you contact your local Credit Bureau. They should have a booklet that you can subscribe too that will give you a list of Foreclosures, Tax Liens, Divorces, etc.

    Hoped this helped.

    Dubldave,

You can start finding REIAs by looking in the groups section of this website. You can also go to the national REIA website. You can google them, etc.

You are not alone in focusing on the property. Even though I harp and preach on this being a people business not a property business, I even find myself focusing on the property sometimes. It is really easy to do. I just have to step back every once in a while, and re-focus on the people, and I get back on track. I too am in a hot market. When I focus on the property, I starve. When I focus on the people, business seems to come out of nowhere.
