I would like some advise on my mortgage broker career. How would I best break into this field. I'm getting my license soon. Is their such a position as a mortgage broker trainee or internship? oh oh

    Hello,

I am not sure this is the right forum in this but I can answer you. There are many places that will hire a trainee or give an internship. Call around and ask. The best way to get in this business is to find someone successful and follow them around without pay. Help them out, run their errands, but more importantly, get inside their head and see how they run their business. Then do exactly what they do. This is a very competitive business and the turnover is high. Become an expert in a niche and just do that. There are so many brokers who are the "Jack-of-all-trade" types and they become frustrated and eventually leave this great business. Also think of this business as though you are self employed. There will be times when you want to give up, but if you can make it through the tough times it will pay off. Starting off, get a PT job in the evenings so you won't have to chase deals just for money. Hope that helps.
