Montgomery County, MD

Is anyone familiar with the Montgomery County, MD area?

I am looking at purchasing a home but am concerned that this area is in such a high bubble and over evaluated that in a couple years I will be looking at a big loss, does anyone have any thoughts about this?

I lived there (Silver Spring) for a long time gowing up. I know property prices have skyrocketed. Its a nice suburb of DC so you have that going for you. It also has one the best public school systems in the country the last time I checked which is a big plus. If your looking for a house as your primary residence I would find one you like, and can afford and not worry too much about what happens as you need a place to live. If you really worried about buying at the top then go rent for 6 months to a year, really get a feel for the market, find a great deal and then buy.[ Edited by HKS on Date 07/06/2005 ]
