Mold
Hi heres my problem... I justed moved into a rental unit about 4 months ago. The unit in good shape until up to about 2 months.. I discoverd that roof was leaking there are yellow water stains all over the place. I had let my landlord know that there was a problem with the roof two different times back in NOV of 2005 the landords came over and I showed them the spots where it was leaking they told me that is was condensation and for me open the window or leave the bathroom door open and that they would be back over in a couple days to look in the attic to see where it was leaking at. My landlord as told me well ' I guess I will have come and paint the walls over. Now months later thing was been done and now i have found mold growing in my unit.. I told my landlord that I was moving due to a job transfer out of state and the landlord told me that I would be getting my deposit back because I was breaking my lease. But why should have to pay rent and foreit my deposit because they failed to fix the problem. not only that I have missed a large amount of work due to the fact I have sick since day we moved in due thy amount of mold growing in the unit. How should I go about this problem???
