Just An Observation Here

I've noticed that the majority of the "illegal forum" emails I get are actually from other moderators.

If these are forums that you visit regularly, wouldn't it be easier to just become moderators for that forum instead of just sending a complaint.

Don't get me wrong, I've hit the button on some where the headline or something caught my eye and they happened to be in a forum that I wasn't a mod in. It's just that the ones I'm getting seem to from the same people.

    Roger,

I don't know about others here, but I tend to visit all of the Forums except for about 3. So that is why I've hit the button in those I wasn't a Mod in. I didn't think that a person could ask to be a Mod.

Just let Joel know which ones you are interested in moderating. I'm sure that he'll be especially glad to have you help in the more "lightly" policed forums.

Frankly you don't have to know anything about the forum topic to be a moderator. A moderator only needs to know the rules and in such, when they are broken. I've never done a Short sale and I don't know didley about tax liens, but at the time, Joel needed help, so I'm a moderator for those forums.

For me its about time. I know some of the other forums, and when I have time I will answer questions, but I wouldnt have the time to moderate more than I do already. When a moderator hits the button I just look at it like they are watching out for me. Unless they hit the button over and over, and then its shin kickin time lol
