Married couple wanting individual ownership of property
My mother is buying a 2nd home/investment property in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.; she is from out of town and the bank wants my father to fly in to sign at closing. He doesn't even want to be on the title, much less fly in to town. I have heard that there is a form that a married couple can sign relinquishing any ownership interest of one partner in owned/or properties being purchased. Does anyone know what that form is called?
If my father has to sign can he just give my mother Power of attorney?
