use microsoft word. find something you like on the internet or wherever. copy it and change the info as needed. I found what I liked, did a copy and paste into word, changed the phone number, print. don't reinvent the wheel, use whats already in place.
I mail all postcards through www.usps.com. They have a Word template that you use to create your card. Upload that puppy and then upload your list. You can even schedule your mailing for up to something like 28 days out.
I like it. It's easy and gets me the same results as doing it myself.
If anyone is interested I have a decent amount of templates I have put together. There are flyers, brochure, ad cards, business cards, and some other stuff. I sent out a sample template to a couple of people and the ones that responded back to me liked what they saw and said the PM me if you are interested.

i use adobe photoshop and illustrator, course being an Animation major and minor in Graphic Design, i'd better use some type of graphic program. dont have anything on the web, BUT if you want a sample done for ya, shoot me out an email and description of how you want it and sorts... i'll do mah best to help you guys out... . . course for the keepers, there is a fee.
It is not the pretty pictures of couples, individuals shaking hands or fine homes that make people react. It will be the content of your message. There are scores of real estate and related services using this method and you are distinguished in no manner. Make your content count!
That is just my opinion. Something to think about.
The cost of using www.USPS.com for your postcards is less then the price of a first class stamp. They do the printing and mailing. You just create and upload your postcard, your list of who you want to send it to and then you're off to the races.
It is the most cost effective way to do postcards.
Don't know if you've seen them, but there is a company called Paper Direct, where you can order business cards and Postcards for use in your own printer. They have a website, ****Must Reach Freshman Investor status before posting URL's***, and I've used there materials in the past - nice stationery for all kinds of uses. I do like the USPS idea too. I'll be checking that out myself.
Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, any graphic programs like photoshop, freehand, corel draw.

people are not concerned with pretty pictures. get their attention with a bright colored paper, and get to the point fast.

what does it cost to go through the post office.
I love using Microsoft Publisher. Just my 2 cents
MS publisher is great but costs money. You could try your local library/university and use their software.

It's been costing me about .25 per piece. That's total cost.
