Marijuana & Mold
I am looking at doing a short sale on a property which would be worth about $165K if fixed. The owner owes about $116K, but almost every square inch of the interior is covered with mold. So I plan to offer the bank something in the 20's or 30's. I mean, this place is going to give the best bad photojournal they ever saw! This is my 2nd investment property, but I am rather the bold sort - not afraid of the mold. Especially since I would probably pull about $50+K out of the deal.
My question is this. Why is there so much mold? Could it be the marijuana plants that the owner was growing?

Also the place has bad ventilation.
What do you think? Should I run for my life (I am actually allergic to mold) or chuckle to myself all the way to the bank?
