Looking For Owner-Financing Note Holders

Is there any body who can help me locate owner-financing notes?

Get a list of properties that have just been sold in a particular area and check the lienholders names. If its an individual then you have someone that originates loans for houses. Also you can check with the local real estate investor clubs, we are all holding secondary loans and some are first lien holders. And the old standby place an ad in the paper that you buy privately held mortgages.

    Good Luck,
    Kyle

My County (In California) is on the web. You can check for recorded documents on a certain day. On a sale the following documents are recorded sequentially; Grant Deed, Deed of Trust to 1st lein holder, Deed of Trust to 2nd lein holder (if there is one).

I don't know about other counties, but in Contra Costa County it is www.co.contra-costa.ca.us.

    Under Departments is "Clerk/Recorder"
Then check out 'Previously Recorded Documents'
