LLC Holding Property In A Land Trust
Hello to all I have a question that I have been trying to find the answer to for about a month now. I know there is someone on this forum that can help.
Here is what I got, I’m setting my real estate investment business with two LLC’s. So far I have one LLC set up which I’m using as a property management company. Now I’m trying to find out about setting up an LLC to be the Beneficiary of properties held in Land trusts. I have asked a few people this same question and get different answers from everyone. The question is about registering the second LLC, I’m not sure but I thought to form a LLC you had to register it with the state but now I’m hearing that if a LLC is just the Beneficiary of properties held in a Land trust it doesn’t have to be register because the LLC is not doing business. If that is the case how is the LLC form if it is not registered and where would you get your Articles of Organization paper and everything from?
Can you shine any light on this?
