Letters To Buy Property To Sellers

Does anyone have a sample letter to get sellers to sell their properties to you and dump the RE agent. I want to buy some property from some sellers but I dont want to pay commission. Has anyone had success in doing this? What steps did you take to do this? Thanks, open to any advice.

That is probably not the best way to go about it. Start sending mailers to out of town owners and you will have a good response and not have to worry about the "Realtor" in most cases..

The agent commission is paid by the seller side of the transaction. The seller and the listing agent have entered into a contract or listing agreement. Would an ethical seller drop the agent just so the poster can side step the commission and the agent?[ Edited by johnnyloans on Date 09/27/2008 ]

And the proceeds to do this come from the buyer.

One further thought is that many times it is just fine to buy property from agents paying a commission as long as your numbers come in where you need them.

Some of my best deals have come from agents who have brought property to me where I happily paid a commission (or the seller did) and I remodeled the property and sold it for a large profit.

One brought me a property that was going to sale at auction the next day at 11:00 AM and told me that the bank would accept 270K if paid prior to the auction.

Long story short I paid the 270K, bought the property and when I went to look at it a couple of days later a passerby offered 362 for the property as is and untouched..

Never worry about how much pie others get as long as you get yours..
