Legal Credit Report

I am evicting two tenants, then will proceed into small claims and once I have approved judgments, I plan to garnish wages or get the pink slips to their vehicles (two different tenants).

Is there a legal way for me to run a credit report to gain access to their employer information. I realize it might not be completely accurate but I may be able to call former employers to track them to their current employer.

Any ideas?

Quite honestly, I would agree with you about 85% of the time. I own 25+ units across the US and typically let these things roll off my back and just move on. However, in this particular case, I cannot let this slide. Both tenants have very good jobs and both negotiated payment plans multiple times, teasing me from time to time with partial payments. I have looked them in the eye and been lied to and something within me says "make sure to teach them a lesson" from this.

New York, and Buffalo in particular, is very landlord friendly. I can take their cars, I can garnish their wages and I can make their lives a bit painful for the next 20 years.

BTW, calling employers to ask questions is absolutely legal. Slandering them to their employer is not.
