Clarifying Section 8???
Could someone kindly clarify exactly what Section 8 is? I know it has to do with the rent one can charge when renting your property. Thanks in advance for your response!

section 8 is a government program whereby they pay you a certain amount of rent money for your tenant which is section 8 qualified. you are guaranteed income every month without the headache of having to collect from bum tenants. usually pay the going rate and it goes by how many rooms, bedrooms, etc that your property has. you must qualify your property in order to get it in the program. there are certain requirements you must meet.

look at the HUD housing site online and they will be able to give you a local number for your area. they can provide you with the proper documention and requirements. good luck. I am taking that same route now
