Spousal Acknowledgement...

Hey! I'm new to the mortgage industry and to this forum. I'm a loan originator with a broker, and I closed on my first loan this afternoon, and a question arose that I can't find any information on. The wife refinanced, and the husband is not on the mortgage or the title, he has no connection to the house or the property period. The title company had him initial the HUD, mortgage, and TIL due to "spousal acknowledgement". I understand this, but was looking for resources to give this guy because he fears it connects him somehow with the refinance. This is a michigan loan, and I've searched online for answers or information on this "spousal acknowledgement" and can't find anything. Can anyone help me on this? Thanks!
