Good Idea Or Not
I'm still trying to get some advice on whether or not my husband and i should pay the $3000 to get our first property through the Carleton Sheets program. Any advice would be appreciated.

You wont get your 1st property for the $3,000. You will get a class & some materiels. Learn a little about REI for very little $$, library is free, EBay has 2nd hand educational mtl, cheap! You will see you can get a lot for $3K.

What do you mean pay $3000.00 to get your first through Sheets. Is he going to sell you property directly for 3K??

i would probably run first
$3,000 is a bargain! I know a girl that just bought his course for $4,000!
She is now trying to reverse the charges on her credit card after they refused to refund her money.
Additionally, they ask if you want THREE free trials. Well, those trials aren't free. They send you more materials and charge your credit card.
She's also trying to get those charges reversed.
My suggestion, go to the library and check out a Real Estate Investing Book instead.
A friend loaned us some material from Ron Legrand and then we purchased the Carleton Sheets material. My personal opinion is that the first material thatyou are exposed to, like anything else, will lay the foundation for your REI way of life. Everyone has a different way of doing whatever it is they do. We did return their materials because Sheets way was different than the direction we were heading-we had no problem and we did keep the "free" material.
Sheets teaches more of the rental market and views wealth in terms that I regard as debt.........
Definately try your luck on ebay, if not, and you want to go for it, make sure that you understand your return options!
