addition to contract
My uncle has under contract a plot which is being built as a single family home. He cannot afford the payments on the house and wants to get out of it. He has asked me and I said that I would take over the contract. When we went to talk to the home builders they said they cannot take him off the contract but they can add me to the contract. Now I wanna make sure he is off the contract after we buy the house TOGETHER! I was told I need to have him sign a QUIT CLAIM DEED. Can you please guide me on how that works and what it does? Are there charges involved with filing this deed? I dont wanna have to pay anything more. So to sum it up. He is on the contract right now. I will be added to the contract right now. After we close on June 9th we will be dual owners, then he will file a quit claim deed. Please HELP!!!! [ Edited by hansgill on Date 05/21/2003 ]
