Kansas City Wholesalers
Hello Everyone,
My wife has finally convinced me to move back to her stompin' grounds, Kansas City, MO.
I'm looking to purchase some rehabs, and was wondering if anyone knew if KC was an active wholesale market?
Any response is greatly appreciated.
Hi Wolfsie,
Are you looking to buy and fix up or buy already fixed up to hold?
There is a market for both here in the KC area. I suggest joining one of the local investment groups here in the area to help you meet people in the business. There are 2 groups that I'm aware of and you can find out more info for both by going to "Groups" up above.
Feel free to PM (Private Message) me if you have any specific questions I can try to answer for you.
Good luck and happy hunting!
Bea
Hi Bea,
How active is the KC with area real estate market?.
What general areas are most active?
Where is Stilwell Kansas ? I have heard of it, though can not place it off hand. You spoke of REI clubs in the area, which one(s) are the most active?
What property do you deal in, or is it a mixed bag?
I have emailed a few realtors in the area, to inquire about a few specific properties, and got no reply. from any of them, Interesting, guess either I pick dead ones or ones with plenty of business with out mine.
Best wished to you, and much success in your investing.

Hi Ozzie,
Are you planning on moving to KC also or just looking to do some out-of-state investing?
There's lots of rehabbing going on in the area surrounding the downtown area. The rental market is pretty flooded in that area right now. I suggest moving further out, but it seems no matter what neighborhood you drive thru there's always someone fixing up homes.
Stilwell, KS is about 40 minutes south of downtown KC. Near the Overland Park area.
I'm a member of KC Investors group, the MAREI is a new group started by the previous President of KC Investors. I don't know that much about MAREI.
I've been a buy and hold investor in the past and looking to get into some wholesaling now. I'm not a pro at either but have learned a lot since I started investing. I want it to become my main stream of income and set me up for retirement too.
What type of investing do you do? Always interested in hearing someone elses experiences and strategies!
Bea
Bea, How's it going? I live in the Olathe area and I'm just starting out as a Wholesaler. Maybe we could compare strategies and get something going as partners. I eventually want to get into the rehab side of things, but feel a year of wholesaling will give me a good feel for the business. I've actually just started on my first deal on a house in Praire Village that I should make me around 5k. If your interested then then send me a private message. Matt
