Can you be more specific? What don't you grasp? The whole idea behind real estate investing? I thought Kiyosaki did a good job of describing that, I think Russ Whitney does a good job of it too.
Hi there Higdon, thanks for the reply. I guess I am just real scared. I have always been a truck driver my entire life. You know a typical wage earner doing a lot of trveling and going nowhere. I know that real Estate is going to be work also, but I feel that I will have more free time with my family and still make the money I deserve. Then invest in other properties. There is so much information, its mind boggling. :-?
What intrigues you about real estate? Are you thinking about rental properties or fixer-uppers that you buy low, fix up and sell?
The best remedy I've found for fear is knowledge. For motivation and overall concepts, the Rich Dad series are good. I also reccomend anything by Robert Shemin. If you read his history, he went around and spoke with over 200 landlords, realtors, etc before he got started.
Read, Talk, Act. Trust me, there are people that have stumbled their way through real estate without putting in the work that have been quite successfull. If you put in the work, time, and knowledge, there will be little to fear.
If you have specific fears that you wonder, post 'em and I'm sure myself or someone more knowledgeable will be able to educate you on why you don't have to worry so much.
