Jumping Lease

Had a tennant start a 3 year lease in June. He packed all is stuff and has vacated the office building. Attorney says he is liable for the entire 36 month lease. If he offers to buy out lease, what would be a reasonable amount to accept as an early buy out. We have other inquiries on the property to lease. Thanks

    One idea may be to have your attorney send him a lawyer letter demanding a full 36 month payment.

    Then write to him offering a 50% discount for a quick settlement in lieu of legal action. And be prepared to negotiate.
