John Beck

Hello,

I am very green to this and was wondering if the John Beck system would actually help me become a seasoned veteran in the tax lien/deed business cool smile

Yep, buy it and put it under your pillow

..... seriously though, just read as much as you can for free. Noone will make you a success in REI but yourself. Sweat Equity will take you a long way.

In a serious vain, I'd like some comments and suggestions regarding material to build a foundation of knowledge in this area. I realize it is all in the execution and not just in the reading, but there must be some fundemental sources of info that people can/should read.

    I have heard that:
John Beck provides a good basis
    others recommend
Ted Thomas (Trinity Consulting seems to push this material & "mentoring" for between $2500 and $10K)
    and still others recommend
    Linda Solcum

Unfortunately I do not know what/who is the best source of information to establish a foundation. Any help from "seasoned pro's" out there?

I have a directory of County offices and that makes it much easier. I got the book "the 16% solution". the directory is ted thomas's got it off ebay for $$280. THe directory is helpful but I talked to someone who has his new directory and said it is just about as out of date as the old one, but alot of the office #'s are correct.

Only time will make you a seasoned veteran, not a book. Apply what he teaches and eventually you will be a seasoned veteran, good luck!

Please take SavvyYoungster's suggestion seriously Noone will make you a success in REI but yourself. Sweat Equity will take you a long way

The information here as well as other sites is invaluable and can save you bunches of money.

I know someone that took the John Beck course and he learned alot.

I actually saw John Beck at a Tax Lien sale once.

My personal observation is that he knows what he is talking about.

    Hope This Helps,
    Mrs. Meltzer

    Hi Hookage,

I bought John's Beck starter system ($40 plus $10 Shipping), but haven't received it yet (I expect to get it mid October). Ask the same question again in November, and I will tell you what I think of it at that time.

I bought John Becks book and it was a good read. The book outlines the basics and also more important than anything it got me interested.

    Hi Hookage,

I received John's Beck Free & Clear yesterday (it took over a month since I ordered it) and spent yesterday and today studying it.

It's great !!! Even though I read the 16% Solution by Joel Moskovitz, spent numerous hours on the internet and have a little of experience with TLCs (bought 3 in 2 different states), I learned so much from John Beck's material.

Besides a lot of raw knowledge, he provides a step by step system to increase your profits that just buying at random (which is almost what I have done so far).

If you haven't ordered it yet, I highly recommend you do so.
