If there is anyone that has bought/used the John Beck free and clear materials could you please let me know how it works. I am new to investing and am considering trying this.
Same here, I saw the "Infomercial" Last night. Property for $300? Hmmmm, It would be fun to do that if it's true. Also his materials are only $40. Seems a little to good to be true. Sorry, don't mean to sound like a nay sayer, just calling it like I see it.
Search the forums. There has been quite a bit of discussion on Beck.
His information is about buying tax lien certificates. There is a forum dedicated to this. States are either lien states or deed states. In a lien state, if someone doesn't pay their property tax, you can pay it for them. If they don't pay you back, with interest, by a certain time, you then own the property with all other liens and judgements abolished.
Keep in mind, many mortgages these days include PITI (Principal, Interest, Taxes, & Insurance). they default on their taxes, and they're also defaulting on their mortgage. Also, any bank would gladly pay off your tax lien certificate with interest and keep the property that they've loaned thousands on.
Perhaps 5% of tax lien certificates don't get paid off, and you end up with the property (Hopefully a property that you want! ) The other 95% are paid off by the title holders or deed holders. Some that aren't paid off are swamp land, land with environmental hazards, or other problems. You still have to be careful
All in all, if you know what you're doing, it's a great way to invest your money and occasionally pick up a property for $300.

Hey Heidi !
I bought his system directly from HIS web site, not from the informercial or their associated web site. Great material, lousy customer service (it took over 6 weeks to get here, and they were NOT replying to my e-mails even when I threatened to charge back my credit card - before I received it). I read on several sites that if you buy it from the informercial, you will be harrassed by that company about buying their $8,000 coaching service.
I didn't put the material to use yet. My modest experience with TLCs was prior to his system. I plan to put it to use some time next year.

How about John Beck's California system ? I did think Free & Clear was worth the $50 and almost 2 months I waited for it (which isn't that bad, compared to many complaints I have seen from people who didn't receive it after 11 months or so).
I ordered his California system last night. Gonna pray to get it some time next year. Was wondering if anybody read and/or used his California system ?

his program is good for you to find about some of the county that hold tax leins. its up to you to figure how to sell them or keep them for profit. he gives you all the contacting info in the cds. call the contact info and ask question thats why the program is only so much. me i weould buy then i would lease to own them out to somone.
Man, you can find more contact info on the internet then his information. Have of the ones for my state where bad web addresses. I suggest to get it and then return it for your money back within 30 days less s&h... You will learn more in this forum... Good Luck

Not too good to be true, and yes it is legit.

John becks system is an apetizer and nothing else. It gives you a slight view into the world of rei, but you need to do ALOT more reading.
